FAITH SHOWS THE REALITY OF WHAT WE HOPE FOR; IT IS THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS WE CANNOT SEE // HEBREWS 11:1
Today, society is telling us what to be so that we can be excepted by society. We spend the majority of our lives pleasing others and even trying to impress and win the approval of people we don't even know. Living as a Christian in this world is about entering a relationship with Jesus but within the captivity of the God of this age (the devil). The enemy rules the earth, but we need to learn to live in the kingdom of God.
God has made it so simple for us. He wants us to find him and desire him with all our heart, so he's created an open doorway for us to choose to enter. When we say yes to God, we are not only living in the kingdom of God, but the kingdom of God is living within us. God is constantly trying to redirect our paths so that we can be saved through him, but the devil is constantly distracting us from reconciliation. God will always get us to the point until we are ready to surrender. Even Jesus was lead by the Holy Spirit to the mountain of temptation so that God could test his own son. He wanted Jesus to prove himself to him, and he wants us to do the same. He longs for us to trust him and have faith in his character because without faith we cannot please God,
AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD WITHOUT FAITH. // HEBREWS 11:6
Throughout my life I've compared myself to others and have always seen myself as "not good enough". Comparison is a natural instinct to humans. The flesh compares and the flesh competes, but in the kingdom of God there is no comparison. We need to stop living by societies expectations and living my Gods. We need to start seeing what God sees in us, in his own creation. Ask God to show you his love for you. He's waiting for you to look his way so he can lavish his love upon you, because reckless love casts out fear. Something Ive learnt since being here in Mexico and will never forget is, 'We have an enemy who is jealous of us, and a father who is jealous for us'. This means we have an enemy who is constantly trying to tear us down, but we have a God who is constantly trying to lift us up. We have the choice to choose which one we want to live by.
Surrendering to God and realising your need for him is the greatest choice you could ever make.
GOD BLESSES THOSE WHO ARE POOR AND REALISE THEIR NEED FOR HIM, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS THEIRS. // MATTHEW 5:3
