BE STILL

BE STILL, WAIT, KNOW THAT HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS // PSALM 130:6

Not knowing and not understanding is such an irritating part of life. We are constantly asking the questions why, how and when, and when we don't get the exact answer we were expecting straight away we lose all effort and hope and become impatient and dis-heartened. We're constantly looking for the quickest route to the destination we want to end up at, but we never take the time to process the journey or the equipment we need to get there. Things take time, and the best of things take the longest time.   The season of waiting is the time that God uses to challenge us and to teach us to trust him with everything we have. There are a lot of people in this world who know about God and who he is but choose not to follow him, or believe in him because they don't have the proof they're looking for or the understanding they want. The truth is the understanding comes after the obedience. Once you learn to trust in Gods character and obey his word, the revelation of who he is will come. God is a personal God and desires a personal and intimate relationship with everyone of us. He knows what we need and he moulds his relationship with us around that.  Staying patient and keeping your heart right is the most important aspect of the journey. God is equipping us with the things we'll need in the place where he wants us. He's got a plan for each of our lives and he'll begin to reveal it once he knows we're ready. He will not withhold anything good for those who walk upright with him,

FOR THE LORD GOD IS A SUN AND SHIELD: THE LORD WILL GIVE GRACE AND GLORY: NO GOOD THING WILL HE WITHHOLD FROM THEM THAT WALK UPRIGHTLY. // PSALM 84:11

If there is something good for you, God will give it to us, we just need to trust his timing. We need to remember who God is who he says he is and we need to train ourselves to walk in the light because when the darkness comes you'll know the way.
